About CPRBD
The Center for Policy Research on Business and Development (CPRBD) is a distinguished research, training, and consultancy institute under the University of Dhaka. Established on November 10, 2013, by a decision of the University Syndicate, CPRBD operates as a non-profit and autonomous think tank dedicated to advancing knowledge and policy insights on Bangladesh’s evolving business, economic, and social landscapes.

Professor Dr. A. B. M. Obaidul Islam
Vice Chancellor, University of Dhaka
Professor Dr. A. B. M. Obaidul Islam is a Professor of Physics at the University of Dhaka and currently serves as the Vice Chancellor of the University. He earned his Ph.D. in Materials Engineering from the University of Toyama, Japan, and has held several academic and leadership positions in higher education.
Dr. Abdus Salam
Pro Vice Chancellor (Academic), University of Dhaka
Professor Dr. Abdus Salam is a Professor in the Department of Chemistry at the University of Dhaka. He obtained his Ph.D. in Atmospheric Analytical Chemistry from the Technical University of Vienna, Austria, and has undertaken postdoctoral research in Canada before assuming the role of Pro Vice Chancellor (Academic).
Dr. Mohammed Almujaddade Alfasane
Pro Vice Chancellor (Administration), University of Dhaka
Professor Dr. Mohammed Almujaddade Alfasane is a Professor of Botany at the University of Dhaka. A graduate of the University of Dhaka, he earned his Ph.D. in Hydrobotany and has extensive experience in teaching, research, and academic administration.
Professor Dr. Mahmood Osman Imam

Professor Dr. Mahmood Osman Imam is the Dean of the Faculty of Business Studies and a Professor in the Department of Finance, University of Dhaka. His academic work focuses on finance, banking, and capital markets, and he has contributed extensively to teaching, research, and professional development.
